Sailing across the harbour to the Copenhagen Opera House from Amalienborg on the royal barge, the royals were greeted by the Club’s President Lars Ive and two young girls who presented flowers to the Queen and Crown Princess before they headed inside for the dinner. During the dinner, Prince Henrik, the Club’s Honorary President, handed over the role to Crown Prince Frederik.
The Queen, who is patron of the RDYC, wore a blue floral gown with a chiffon shawl, while Princess Mary (an honorary member of the RDYC) donned a pale pink tiered chiffon evening gown from YDE by Ole Yde.
