Chilean President Visits Sweden
Chile’s President Michelle Bachelet began a state visit to Sweden today, being greeted by King Carl Gustaf at the Royal Stables for a carriage procession to the Royal Palace, as is custom during state visits.
The official welcoming ceremony took place in the courtyard, also attended by Queen Silvia in a fetching red suit, before a private lunch inside the Palace. Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia (both Princesses still officially on maternity leave) were present for the lunch.
Victoria and Sofia seemed to have discussed their outfits beforehand, as both ladies were wearing dresses in light shades (dusty pink for Victoria and white for Sofia) with simple fascinators and heels with jewel buckles on the front.

In the evening, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted a gala banquet for President Bachelet. On the menu was lightly smoked duck, roast veal fillet and lemon mousse with liquorice ice-cream.
