William and Kate Spend The Day Supporting Mental Health

Continuing their recent efforts to help raise awareness for mental health issues, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge headed to St Thomas’s Hospital in London today where they had a meeting with Johnny Benjamin, who was saved from a suicide attempt by stranger Neil Laybourn.

The foursome discussed several issues relating to suicide and mental health, including the stigma that still remains attached to suicide, and the importance of of making children aware of mental health from a young age.

Later on in the day, the couple returned to Kensington Palace for a screening of a documentary on Mr Benjamin’s story, which was attended by 20 local school students. This was followed by a discussion on mental health, as well as a private meeting with individuals touched by suicide.

Kate began the day in a recycled a bright green coat from Erdem for the visit, later changing into a black dress featuring a white bird print from Jonathan Saunders/EDITION.
