Letizia at Rare Diseases World Day
Queen Letizia of Spain attended the Rare Diseases World Day at CSIC headquarters on March 3, 2016 in Madrid, Spain. The Queen is the honorary president for the Spanish federation of rare diseases.
In her speech she emphasized the importance of more research about rare diseases. According to the queen there are 3 million people who suffer from a rare disease: “it is important that all of them feel welcome and understood. Not only today but all days of the year”.
