Charles and Camilla’s Visit to Australia, Day Six

The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have spent their final day in Australia, getting roasted by the blistering Perth sun.

The couple first attended the Sunday morning service at St George’s Cathedral, and Prince Charles chatted with the crowd that had gathered outside once the service concluded. He spoke with a group of veterans from a South African parachute regiment, one of whom later told the media about how the Prince was very interested in the trip that he took with 60 schoolchildren to the battlefields.

Camilla meanwhile dropped by the State Library for a reception with pre-school children learning English via a story-based program at their schools.

Prince Charles then visited the WA Seed Technology Centre before meeting back up with the Duchess at Kings Park, where they strolled through the garden before stopping at the Flame of Remembrance.

The Prince and the Duchess departed Perth Airport mid-afternoon, bound for home.
