Jordan’s King and Queen attend 10th Anniversary Service of the Amman Bombings

On Monday, King Abdullah II and his wife, Queen Rania, attended the memorial service for victims of the 2005 Amman bombings in the Amman Martyrs Garden.

Their Majesties observed a moment of silence in front of the memorial, laid a wreath and prayed for the 57 victims who were killed in simultaneous suicide bombings on three hotels in the Jordanian capital. The families of the victims also attended the service and they expressed their gratitude to Their Majesties to stand with them on this day.

His Majesty praised the courage of family’s victims and injured and said they delivered a bright image of the nation.

After the service, King Abdullah departed to Bahrain for a short visit.
