Queen Margrethe and Prince Henrik Arrive in Indonesia Ahead of State Visit

The Queen of Denmark and her husband today arrived in Indonesia in advance of their state visit beginning tomorrow.

Danish Ambassador to Indonesia Casper Klynge was part of the welcoming committee at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta on the island of Java.

The couple attended a reception at the Danish Embassy this evening, and will be officially welcomed by Indonesia’s President Joko Widodo tomorrow morning. This is the first official visit of a Danish head of state to Indonesia.
