King Willem-Alexander Opens A Children’s Hospital

Today, His Majesty King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands opened the Emma Children’s Hospital in Amsterdam. During the opening of the renewed hospital, King Willem-Alexander took a tour of the new hospital, spent time with the children and their families and joined them for some cake. A few group picture were taken during the opening.

The Emma Children’s Hospital is part of the Academic Medical Center by the University of Amsterdam (AMC) and has around 165 beds for children.  The hospital offers health care that ranged from age newborns to 18 years old.
