Prince Christian of Denmark Turns 10

Prince Christian of Denmark turns 10 today.

Christian Valdemar Henri John was born on October 15, 2005 as the eldest of the four children of Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary. Prince Christian is second in the Danish line of succession, after his father.

Prince Christian was born at 1:57 am in Rigshospitalet, the Copenhagen University Hospital, in Copenhagen. On January 21, 2006, Prince Christian was christened in Christiansborg Palace Chapel. His godparents are Prince Joachim of Denmark, Jane Stephens, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece, and two friends of the couple: Jeppe Handwerk and Hamish Campbell.

Prince Christian’s title is His Royal Highness Prince Christian of Denmark, Count of Monpezat.
