King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia were on hand this evening to help celebrate the 90th anniversary of Radio Sweden at Berwald Hall in Stockholm. They were joined by Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel.

The foursome posed for photographs upon their arrival, before heading inside the concert hall for the evening’s show, which included speeches by Radio Sweden CEO Cilla Benkö, and performances by a number of the organisation’s main program leaders. The Radio Sweden Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Sweden Choir – who are based at Berwald Hall – also gave musical performances.

“The royal family thought it was a excellent evening filled with the humor and gravity of 90 years of Swedish radio history involving many Swedes,” the Royal Court’s press director Margareta Thorgren said to the media afterwards.

Both Queen Silvia and her eldest daughter chose florals in their attire; the Queen in a white skirt suit featuring a pink floral motif, while Victoria opted for a plain black blouse tucked into a black and silver floral printed full skirt.
