Crown Prince Frederik Receives Tennis Federation Gold Pin
The Crown Prince of Denmark attended the Danish Wheelchair Tennis Championships on Sunday afternoon at the Allerød Tennis Club in Lillerød. Frederik is the patron of the Danish Tennis Federation.
During the event, he watched the men’s and women’s finals, then presented the winner and runner-up with their medals. Christoffer Holmer took out the men’s title, while Louise Willerslev-Olsen won the women’s title.
Crown Prince Frederik was then presented with the Danish Tennis Federation’s Gold Pin, which has been awarded to “individuals who have distinguished themselves in particularly high and valuable levels for tennis” since 2006, by the Federation’s chairman, Henrik Klitved. To receive the Gold Pin, an individual must also have been awarded the Federation’s Honourable Pin.
“I am sure that our patron’s interest and passion for tennis has affected many others,” Mr Klitved said during the reception.
