Pierre Casiraghi, second son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, today married his long-time love Beatrice Borromeo in a civil ceremony held at the Salon des Glaces of the Prince’s Palace.

70 of their closest family and friends were invited to witness the ceremony, in which Ms Borromeo wore a custom-made Valentino gown of “pale pink and gold lace silk chiffon, designed by creative directors, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli.”

A garden party hosted by the groom’s uncle, Prince Albert II, was then held in the Palace courtyard afterwards for around 500 guests; while in the evening a reception was held at the Hôtel de Paris.

The couple will marry in a religious ceremony next weekend, held on the private Borromean Islands in Lago Maggiore, Italy, which are owned by the bride’s family.
