Prince Charles Meets Cricketers Ahead of Upcoming Ashes Test
The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have begun their annual summer week in Wales today, with the Prince meeting cricketers ahead of the Ashes Test Series that begins on July 8.
Cricketers from the English and Australian teams chatted with Prince Charles during his visit to the SWALEC Stadium in Cardiff. Prince Charles was presented with a customised Australian cricket shirt by the team’s manager, and also heavily enquired about the team’s fast bowler Mitchell Johnson.
Also on the agenda for day one was a stop at Parc Prison in Bridgend, where Charles spoke with offenders who are involved in the ‘Get Started with Football’ program that is operated by The Prince’s Trust.
