Spanish State Visit To Mexico, Day 2

Day two of the Mexican state visit was just as busy and packed as day one.

Queen Letizia attended a meeting with the Latin American Alliance of Rare Diseases. Queen Letizia later joined King Felipe at the Mexico-Spain Business Forum which was also attended by the Mexican President, Enrique Peña Nieto.

Later that morning, the King and Queen attended the Permanent Commission of the Congress. They were welcomed by the Senator Miguel Barbosa Huerta, president of the Board of the Permanent Commission. King Felipe gave a speech and the royal couple also signed a guestbook.

A luncheon was for the visiting royal couple was held at the residence of the Embassy of Spain in Mexico.

Later that afternoon, King Felipe and Queen Letizia visited the Universidad Nacional (UNAM) at UNAM’s Simon Bolivar Amphiteatre. During the visit, King Felipe gave a speech. King Felipe and Queen Letizia witnessed a few agreements being signed. The royal couple attended a reception held for the Spanish community in Mexico.
