Fürst Alexander and Fürstin Nadja-Anna Have Separated

The Fürst and Fürstin of Schaumburg-Lippe have confirmed their separation, German newspaper Bunte reported on March 27.

“Nadja and I have been separated for over a year, which has not done our friendly relationship any harm,” Fürst Alexander told the newspaper, calling his second wife a “great woman and mother” and a “valuable friend.”

Fürstin Nadja-Anna also spoke about the separation, calling the decision mutual. “Alexander is an important person and advisor in my life, and we love our family. In the future we will continue spending a lot of time together,” she said, speaking in relation to the couple’s two daughters, Felipa and Philomena.

Alexander and Nadja-Anna were married in June 2007 in Bückeburg. Their two daughters were born in 2008 and 2011.
