Princess Eugenie was born on March 23, 1990 at the Portland Hospital in London. She is the youngest daughter and child of Prince Andrew, Duke of York and his now ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York (née Ferguson). Princess Eugenie has an older sister, Princess Beatrice, who was born in 1988.

Princess Eugenie was christened at the St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk on December 23 that year. Her godparents were James Ogilvy, Captain Alastair Ross, Mrs. Ronald Ferguson, Mrs. Patrick Dodd-Noble and Miss. Louise Blacker.

Princess Eugenie began her education at Winkfield Montessori School, which she only attended for a year, from 1992-1993. Afterwards, she attended Upton House School in Windsor with her older sister, where she remained until 1995, before attending Coworth Park School and St. George’s School in Windsor. Princess Eugenie also attended Marlborough College, before going on to study Combined Honours BA at Newcastle University, where she graduated with a 2:1 in English literature and the history of art.

Princess Eugenie doesn’t perform royal engagements regularly, and in 2013 she moved to New York. However, she does attend engagements that are connected with the charities her mother supports, and is seen at events where most of the Royal Family are expected to attend.
