Princess Charlène Gives Birth: Son and Daughter

The Princess of Monaco has given birth to her twins at the Maternity Centre of the Princess Grace Hospital.

Princess Gabriella Thérèse Marie was born at 17:04, while Hereditary Prince Jacques Honoré Rainier was born at 17:06 (local time). Both infants and their mother are doing well, and the official statement read that Prince Albert II and Princess Charlène announced the births with “immense joy.”

Hereditary Prince Jacques is first in line to the throne and bears the secondary title Marquis des Baux. Princess Gabriella is second in line to the throne and bears the secondary title Comtesse de Carladès.

A canon salute marked the births shortly after the announcement.
