The wedding took place at St Joseph’s Church, the bride’s younger brother, Albert, 12th Prince of Thurn und Taxis, walking his sister down the aisle to her groom. Princess Maria Teresia wore a gown designed by Vivienne Westwood that featured printed roses on the skirt.

Among the guests were Andrea Casiraghi and his wife Tatiana, and Hereditary Prince Alexander and Hereditary Princess Sarah of Isenburg.

A reception at Schloss Garatshausen, one of the family’s properties near Lake Starnberger, took place following the ceremony.

That was a splendid wedding gown. I wish a long happy life together to the newly-weds…and children, if they wish (and most probably they do.)
May God bless their marriage and bring them bliss and mutual support and understanding.

I didn’t think Vivianne Westwood could make such a beautiful wedding gown. I’ve certainly never seen anything so beautiful in her regular collections. Princess MT looks amazing and she is making me feel very old since I remember when she and her siblings were born. She is a beautiful girl and she looks very happy.

  5. Lady Daphne says:

Sorry, but the skirt on that gown is horrible……her Mother is known for her bad taste and unfortunately it looks as though Maria Theresia is keeping up the family tradition.

  6. NATALYA says:

Best wishes to the couple !

I totally agree with Lady Daphne. Terrible dress. Of all the years that I have spent reading about royals and the jet set, this must be the ugliest and most disorganized wedding I’ve ever seen. And are the Taxis real aristocrats? I thought they were peasants from Italy who then went on to buy German titles.
