New Patronage for Princess Beatrice

Princess Beatrice of York, the elder daughter of the Duke of York, has undertaken another patronage: the Berkshire Community Foundation.

The news was announced on the foundation’s website today, with the patronage effective as of July 1. The CEO of the foundation, Andrew Middleton, said in the press release that, “The Princess’s decision to become Patron of Berkshire Community Foundation reflects her wish to support charitable activity locally.”

The BCF works to inspire philanthropy and charitable giving in the local community, to enhance the local quality of life.

Princess Beatrice is patron of six other organisations: the York Musical Society, the York Theatre Royal, the Sick Kids Friends Foundation, Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, Broomwood African Education Foundation and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Centre.
