Infanta Pilar of Spain’s Son Marries In Miami

Don Juan Gomez-Acebo y de Borbon, Viscount de la Torre has married his American girlfriend, Winston Carney, in Miami.

The Viscount is the eldest son of Infanta Pilar of Spain, Duchess of Badajoz and her late husband Don Luis Gomez-Acebo, Viscount de la Torre.

In April of this year, Winston gave birth to their first child a son, Nicholas Gomez-Acebo. No members of the extended Spanish Royal Family were present at the private ceremony.

Infanta Pilar is the elder sister of King Juan Carlos. She renounced her and her children’s rights of succession to the Spanish throne prior to her marriage in 1967. Her eldest son, Don Juan Filiberto Nicolás Gómez-Acebo was born on december 6, 1969. Winston Carney is an American heiress, interior designer and pilates instructor. The couple had been dating for a few years and reside mainly in California.
