Princess Ingrid Alexandra Turns 10

Today, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, the eldest daughter of Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway celebrates her 10th birthday.

She was born at Rikshospitalet University Hospital in Oslo on January 21st, 2004 and is second in line of succession to the Norwegian throne. Her godparents include King Harald, Crown Prince Frederik of Denmark, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Prince Felipe of Asturias, Princess Märtha Louise and Marit Tjessem, the mother of the Crown Princess.
Since 2010, Princess Ingrid Alexandra has been attending the public Jansløkka Elementary School in Asker close to Skaugum Estate in Asker, southwest of Oslo, where the Crown Princely Family lives.
As in previous years, the Royal Court published new photos of the Princess on occasion of her birthday. These were taken by photographer Sølve Sundsbø in 2013 and can be seen here.

    What a pretty, sweet and fortunate little girl. Congratulations to the photographer for a fabulous photograph. It reminds me of a Winterhalter or Reynolds portrait. Quite beautiful. Many wishes for happiness to her “Royal HIghness”. Is that the correct title?? I hope she will aways have a happy life.
