The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall in Northern Ireland for One-Day Visit
Last Tuesday, 3rd February, the royal couple have been in Northern Ireland for a visit.
For many years, because of the difficult political situation and for security reasons, it was something special when someone from the government or from the royal family visited NI.
Today the situation there is more relaxed and peaceful but the visit of Charles and Camilla every year is good for a headline in the media and is something many people notice.
On this February day the couple visited Glenarm for the first time.
They were shown the village, the harbour and the castle by the Viscount and Viscountess Dunlace.
The people of Glenarm describe the royal visit as a ‘great honour’.
Some pics and articles from the NI visit you can find in this thread.
