The Princess, wearing pink peplum-style top and beige shorts and accompanied by her parents Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary, partook in a brief photo session in the main courtyard of Amalienborg before heading off to school.

The press, who were given the photo session in exchange for not turning up at the actual school, used the photo session as an opportunity to ask the new student a few questions. What is in your lunchbox, Isabella? “Something delicious.” Do you know any of the other children in your class? “I know four of those in my class…they are sweet.” Will your brother help you with your homework? “No!”

Isabella joins her older brother, Prince Christian, at the public school north of Copenhagen. When Christian began school in 2011, it was assumed that he and his siblings would attend the private Krebs School, like their father and cousins Princes Nikolai and Felix.
