The Spanish Monarch was later the guest of honour at a private dinner hosted by King Mohammed which was attended by his wife, Princess Lalla Salma, and other members of the Royal Family.

The following day, King Juan Carlos laid a wreath at the mausoleum of King Mohamed V and later signed the guest book. Following this, he went onto open the Spanish-Moroccan Business Meeting at the Hotel Sofitel.

The Kings of Spain and Morocco held a private meeting at the Royal Palace in Rabat and later both monarchs paid a visit to the National Library in Rabat. The Prime Minister of Morocco and other government met with King Juan Carlos on Wednesday July 17th, the Spanish King later hosted a reception at the Spanish Embassy.

On the final day of his visit, King Juan Carlos was presented with ‘the golden key’ to the city of Rabat at a ceremony presided over by King Mohammed VI.
