A Royal Win At Royal Ascot
Queen Elizabeth II could not be any happier today when her horse passed the finish line winning first place at the Royal Ascot race.
Estimate, the Queen’s horse, won the prestigious Gold Cup, which made the Queen the first reigning monarch to win the Gold Cup in its 207-year history.
The Queen was supposed to hand out the winning trophies for the race but since she won, the Duke of York took over to present her with the cup.
Peter Phillips said on the win, “It’s amazing, this is her passion, every year she strives to have winners and to have the big one at Royal Ascot means so much to her and to everyone involved in racing. A win like this is truly, truly special.”
