Sheikha Latifa Wins Grand Prix FEI World Cup Qualifier
After a clear round and beating the time, Sheikh Latifa Al Maktoum won the Emirates Airline Dubai Grand Prix FEI World Cup Qualifier, which was held in Dubai, UAE.
Sheikha Latifa, riding her horse Peanuts de Beaufour, competed against 33 riders and finished 3 seconds ahead of her runner up at 48.48 seconds. Sheikha Latifa, who is just 27 years old, said “I’m really happy with the mare because she’s come a long way.”
She went on saying, “I brought her up since she was five and we went through tough times. And at one point I thought there was no chance I’d be able to ride her.” She also said, “So, to actually come and win a Grand Prix here, it’s just super. And in Dubai, at home. I’m really happy. She’s a super horse, a fantastic horse and when I just ride her well she’ll just do everything for me.”
