The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall attended the world première of Skyfall in London. The screening, held at the Royal Albert Hall, was in aid of charities that support former and current members of Britain’s intelligence agencies. Skyfall is the 23rd official Bond film, and Daniel Craig’s third appearance as the world-famous super-spy.

Prince Charles and Camilla spoke to the enthusiastic fans who had gathered for the star-studded event, as well as the actual stars of the latest James Bond film, including Dame Judi Dench, Berenice Marlohe and of course, Daniel Craig.

The latter is no stranger for the British Royals; the James Bond sequence featuring Queen Elizabeth and Daniel Craig was one of the most memorable moments of the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.

Prince Charles looked characteristically dapper in a smart black suit. The Duchess opted for a floor-length purple gown by one of her favourite designers, Bruce Oldfield. The matching jewellery included a pair of double-drop amethyst earrings framed in diamond, and a surprise (first) appearance of the Queen Mother’s heart-shaped amethyst pendant necklace.
