The main celebrations of Her Majesty’s Diamond Jubilee may still be weeks away, but tributes continue pouring. Alongside numerous exhibitions and commemorative events all over the world, there are also some fairly unusual ones. And perhaps none is more tastefully done as the giant portrait created by Dr. Oetker using 2012 cupcakes. It is not only dream come true for everyone with sweet tooth, it’s also actually a rather good portrait of the Queen wearing her trademark pearl earrings and the George IV State Diadem.

Meanwhile, other unusual tributes include a new Wallace and Gromit film, a giant 158,000-brick mosaic Lego Queen Elizabeth sitting on her throne, custom-made iPhone cases, Union Jack frying pans, corgi cushions and solar-powered waving Queen figurine.

Perhaps the most luxurious and exquisite memorabilia is John Walker & Sons Diamond Jubilee Blended Scotch Whisky, each bottle costing a whooping £100,000. Only 60 bottles are available in the extremely limited edition, bottled 60 years ago on the day the Queen ascended to the Throne. The proceeds from the sale will be used for good causes since at least £1 million will go towards the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust, which aims to preserve traditional craftsmanship techniques.

Her Majesty is also set to make a guest appearance as a cartoon character in the highly successful children’s show Peppa Pig – the first time a human character has featured in the series.
