Prince Felipe attends UEFA Europa League Final

Bucharest, Romania – May 9th, 2012

His Royal Highness The Prince of Asturias attended the UEFA Europa League final in Bucharest last night between Atletico Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.

The Prince was one of thousands of Spanish supporters who travelled to the National Stadium in Bucharest, Romania to watch the final between the two Spanish teams. At the stadium, His Royal Highness met with Crown Princess Margarita of Romania and her husband, Prince Radu.

The Prince watched the match seated in the Presidential Box with many Government and Spanish football officials, and also the Mayor of Madrid.

Following Atletico Madrid’s 3-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao, Prince Felipe got the opportunity to greet and congratulate the players and coaches from both teams.
