Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed in Ankara

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi made a one day visit to Ankara, Turkey. During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed and his delegation met with President Abdullah Gul at the presidential palace. During the meeting, they talked about ways to boost ties & relationship between the two countries. Sheikh Mohammed said  “While we highlight the importance of the strategic relations of cooperation between the UAE and Turkey, we are also looking forward to greater avenues of cooperation based on rapid growth of bilateral relations over the recent years and shared views on array of issues and events the region has experienced. This also underscores sincere desire by both countries to exchange views on a host of regional and international agenda and future challenges.” President Abdullah Gul held a banquet in honor of Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and his delegation at the presidential palace. Before the visited was concluded, General Sheikh Mohammed visited the grave of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk who is the founder of the modern Turkish state.
