The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall will be paying official visits to the three Scandinavian countries at the end of March.

Visits to Norway, Sweden and Denmark have been schedueled as a lead-in to the British Royal Family’s tours of the Commonwealth to mark Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee. The respective Royal Courts also stated that the “historical and diplomatic ties” between Britain and Scandinavia is part of the reasoning behind the tour.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall will begin their tour in Norway between March 20th and 22nd, on to Sweden between March 22nd and 24th, and finish in Denmark between March 24th and 27th.

In other Commonwealth tour news, the Earl and Countess of Wessex begin their tour of the Carribbean tomorrow, February 21st, in St Lucia.
