The Duke and Duchess of Vendôme, Prince Jean and Princess Philomena of Orléans, had their second child and first daughter, Princess Antoinette, on 28 January 2012. The little Princess joins older brother, Prince Gaston.

Prince Jean is the heir of his father, the Count of Paris, bypassing his mentally disabled elder brother, Prince François, Count of Clermont. Prince Jean married Princess Philomena civilly, on March 19 and religiously, on May 2, 2009, and their first child, Prince Gaston, was born on 19 November 2009.

More information about the birth of the new Orléans Princess can be found in the thread:

  1. If, as I suppose, Prince Jean is a descendant of “Louis Egalite,” who voted to have his brother King Louis XVI executed (to further his own ambition), some of the purists among us believe those descended from Louis Egalite are forever disqualified from occupying the(nonexistent) French Throne. However, as that is but a little known (little cared about) footnote to history, one would have to be the purest of the purists for such a concern to matter. Count me among them.

Silly comment by Fr James. If that’s all u have to say why bother

  3. Jonathan Spangler says:

I think Father will find that Egalite was called Philippe, and that he was not Louis XVI’s brother, but first prince of the blood.

  4. Cindy Widya Japardi says:

Congratulations and Welcome to the world the infant Princess!
