The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visit Los Angeles
TRH The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have wrapped up their 3-day visit to Los Angeles. The Prince and his wife visited Los Angeles from 8 July till 10 July following their visit to Canada. (Blog entries about their visit to Canada can be found here, here, here & here.)
According to the official website of the Prince of Wales, the couples visit to L.A. had the following purpose:
The Duke and Duchess will be contributing to deepening and strengthening the multi-layered links between the United States and the United Kingdom.
On their first day, the Duke and Duchess attended a conference connected to the future of Tech City. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also attended the UK Trade & Investment reception at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, and at night, the Royal couple attended a reception at the consul-general’s residence.
Their second day was started by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attending (and Prince William entering) a polo tournament at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club. In the evening, the couple attended the BAFTA “Brits to Watch” event.
Finally, on their third day, the couple visited the Inner City Arts club and attended a reception to mark the launch of Tusk Trust’s US Patron’s Circle. The Duke and Duchess also attended the Service Nation: Mission Serve recruitment fair.They flew back home on a commercial flight.
