Crown Princess Mary had a busy day yesterday, October 25th. Firstly, the pregnant Princess attended a ‘KreaNord’ conference, held by the Nordic Council of Ministers.

Speaking at the event, which had the theme ‘Potential of Creative Industries in the Nordic Region’, Princess Mary used her patronage of Designer’s Nest – a segment of the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair – to illustrate the importance of rewarding creativity and nurturing it. “In addition to exposing upcoming young Danish and Nordic designers, the Designers Nest initiative serves to enhance and expand Denmark’s position as a key nation in the area of fashion and design,” Mary said after explaining the role of Designer’s Nest.

Later that day, Princess Mary – wearing a light blue lacey blouse underneath a black dress topped with a dark grey coat – made her way over to the National Museum of Copenhagen for the presentation ceremony of the 2010 Julemærk (Christmas Stamp). Mary has been the patron of the Julemærkefonden (Christmas Seal Foundation) since 2004.

Mary met with the designer of this year’s stamp, Sussi Bech – a Danish author, illustrator and comics artist – before the duo officially revealed the stamp. The stamps this year feature a series of elves getting ready for Christmas.
