The German newspaper ‘Bild’ reports that the Wümmehof estate in Borgfeld, near Bremen has been put up for sale on the website of real estate agent ‘Engel & Völkers‘. The estate of 10.000 acres and with two historical buildings has been bought by the Prussian royal family in 1945. Here prince Louis Ferdinand of Prussia (1907-1994) and his wife Grand Duchess Kira Kirilovna of Russia raised their seven children and at the moment prince Christian-Sigismund of Prussia and his wife princess Nina, née Countess zu Reventlow are living on the estate.

According to the website of the real estate agent, the estate, the two villas and the other buildings such as a garage, are for sale for the price of 1.500.000 Euros. The newspaper wonders why prince Georg-Friedrich, the present head of the Prussian royal family and owner of the estate, wants to sell ‘Wümmehof’.
