Infanta Cristina Visits Guttmann Institute
Although Infanta Cristina currently lives in Washintong D.C.,where she and her family moved after the summer, she returns from time to time to Spain in order to attend her official engagements related to the Spanish Crown.
On January 27, Cristina was in Barcelona to visit the Guttmann Institute. This institute is a neuro-rehabilitation hospital that was the first in Spain dedicated to the treatment of patients suffering of paraplegia or quadriplegia. Subsequently Guttmann Institute extended it’s cares to other pathologies as acquired brain damage or any other serious neurological disability.
Guttmann Hospital is one of the most advanced, world-class hospitals of its kind. Its main goal is to “provide the most comprehensive, customized and specialized medical and rehabilitation care at the highest human, scientific and technical level”. To do so, the hospital has the most modern facilities and a team of nearly 400 practitioners.
