There has been a thread on the film adaptation of The King's Speech, but I could not find the thread for this book.
I enjoyed reading The King's Speech: How One Man Saved the British Monarchy (2010) by Mark Logue and Peter Conradi, because Logue and Conradi provided an insightful exploration on both George VI's life and Lionel Logue's career. The book also comprehensively described the context and background from late 19th Century to mid 21st Century, particularly in WWII. Unlike the film, it does go through more events (i.e. George VI's early life and Logue's early career in Australia). Mark Logue is the grandson of Lionel Logue.
I am unsure whether the book or film was released first. The first edition was published in 2010. The second edition in 2011.

On a personal note, I received The King's Speech (book) as a birthday present for my 13th birthday, after a year of release. It was an encouragement to read more books, I still to this day try to improve my reading skills in terms of speed and comprehension
. I have read it three times, but no more since then. It would be interesting to see what I got out of reading it as an adult (rather than a teenager), assuming that I have better understanding on the historical context and not view things as black & white.
What are your thoughts on The King's Speech, as a non-fiction, biographical book?
