Crown Princess Victoria in The Netherlands

A cross country royal event took place yesterday evening, when Crown Princess Victoria attended the 50th Anniversary Royal Gala evening for the Swedish Chamber of Commerce in The Netherlands. Also in attendance at the gala were HRH The Prince of Oranje and the Duke of Parma and his wife Annemarie. The duke and duchess celebrated their civil wedding this spring. Mathilde on UNAIDS Mission to Liberia

Belgium’s Princess Mathilde has undertaken a United Nations Mission to Liberia. Mathilde was invited due to her role as special representative of UNICEF and UNAIDS, to raise awareness for the problems around “children and HIV/AIDS”. Princess Caroline visits Palazzo Vecchio

In the past week, Princess Caroline of Monaco paid a visit to the Palazzo Vecchio in the city of Florence, the capital of the Florentine province of Tuscany, Italy. Queen Sonja visits Refugee Camp in Kenya

This week Queen Sonja visited the world’s largest refugee camp, the Dadaab refugee camp in Kenya, in connection with the TV Campaign “On the run from war”. The Queen is patron of the campaign. Mette-Marit attended the AIDS Conference in Vienna

Crown Princess Mette-Marit was in Austria to attend the XVIII International AIDS Conference in Vienna. About 20,000 delegates from all over the world are participating in the conference. Mette-Marit is a UNAIDS Special Representative since 2006 and her work focuses on strengthening youth leadership in the AIDS effort. Sheikha Mozah in Saudi Arabia

HH Sheikha Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education Science and Community Development, has been invited by Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz to visit the kingdom. Sheikha Mozah who is leading a high delegation is scheduled to visit universities, educational institutions, research centres and social services centres. The visit starts today March 21, 2010 and it is unknown how long the visit will last.

Queen Rania attends “Women in the World” Summit

King Abdullah in Spain, then to attend WEF

His Majesty King Abdullah is scheduled to visit Spain today and meet with Spain’s King Juan Carlos, as well as with Spanish Prime Minister José Luis Rodri­guez Zapatero. King Abdullah is to hold talks on developments in the Middle East and efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. King Abdullah will then leave for Switzerland, where he and Queen Rania will participate in the annual World Ecomonic Forum in Davos.

Princess Haya in Haiti

HRH Princess Haya Al Hussein, UN Messenger of Peace, arrived in in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on Friday January 22, 2010 with more than 90 metric tonnes of relief supplies for Haitians who were effected by the earthquake.
