Order of the Garter Service at Windsor Castle

The Duke of Edinburgh Celebrates 91st Birthday

Prince Philip celebrates his 91st birthday today – a day after being released from hospital. A Buckingham Palace spokesman confirmed the Duke will be spending the day privately. The Duke of Edinburgh has been discharged from hospital today. The Prince waved to well-wishers outside the King Edward VII hospital as he walked to a waiting car. His Royal Highness has been in hospital since Monday, recovering from a bladder infection. The British Royal Court has published two new portraits of Queen Elizabeth II and the Duke of Edinburgh to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Queen’s accession, which occurs tomorrow, February 6th. Prince Philip Recovering from Heart Surgery

HRH The Duke of Edinburgh is currently recovering from heart surgery at Papworth Cardiothoracic Hospital in Cambridgeshire, England, after he was admitted there last night, local time.
