His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, ruler of the Emirates, King of Spain Juan Carlos, Sweden’s King Carl Gustaf, Crown Prince of Bahrain Sheikh Salman Al Khalifa and other Sheikhs all met at the the Yas Circuit on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi to watch the Formula One Grand Prix on Sunday November 1st. The winners of the race were awarded trophies by Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed and Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has been re-elected by the members of the Supreme Council, made up of the rulers of the seven emirates. He has been elected for the 2nd term for the next five years. The President has traditionally been the Ruler of Abu Dhabi.
On the occasion of the re-elected president Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi said Sheikh Khalifa’s re-election was a great day in UAE history and confirmed the Supreme Council’s trust in his approach. It would signal greater prosperity for years to come in a statement published by WAM. Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed the Ruler’s Representative in the Western Region said “The UAE is making rapid, staggering and tangible progress under the stewardship of Sheikh Khalifa,” he went on saying “The holistic development going on in all emirates simultaneously underlines Sheikh Khalifa’s sincere determination to secure a decent life to both UAE people and expatriate residents.”
The President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Emir of Kuwait H.H Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah who is visiting the UAE held talks in Abu Dhabi today. The two leaders discussed regional and international developments, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and cooperation between their two countries.
Sheikh Khalifa stressed that the visit would strengthen relations between the UAE and Kuwait, Sheikh Khalifa said: “We look forward to attending the forthcoming GCC Summit in Kuwait next December.” After the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa held a lunch banquet in honor of Emir of Kuwait and members of the accompanying delegation.

King Abdullah and his entourage were welcomed by Sheikh Khalifa. The two leaders discussed relations between the two countries and ways to bolster them in different fields in the best interest of the two countries, they also exchanged views on current worldwide situations. After the meeting, King Abdullah expressed his pleasure about visiting the UAE and meeting Sheikh Khalifa.
Sheikh Khalifa hosted a banquet in honour of the King Abdullah and his entourage.
President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met yesterday with UAE ambassadors and representatives of regional and international organisations who came to greet him on the Holy month of Ramadan. His Highness the president highlighted the importantance played by the country’s ambassadors in strengthening the UAE’s bonds with other nations and boosting the country’s image worldwide saying “Since its establishment, the UAE has adopted a balanced and moderate policy towards Arab and international issues and earned the respect of the whole world”.
He also urged the ambassadors to reflect the country’s image and achievements made on many fronts “Such a proactive approach would provide the driving force for our foreign policy and maintain its vitality and momentum.” said Sheikh Khalifa.
The meeting was attended by several Sheikhs and senior officials. After the meeting, Sheikh Khalifa hosted an Iftar banquet for the guests.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, former deputy prime minister of the UAE, has been appointed by Sheikh Khalifa, President of the UAE, as his representative in the Western Region according to a decree issued by Sheikh Khalifa.
Sheikh Hamdan is also chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority, chairman of the Environment Agency Abu Dhabi and chairman of the UAE Foreign Aid Coordination Office. He had previously served as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and deputy prime minister.
The director general of the Gharbia Development Council, Mohammed Azan Al Mazrouie said: “The appointment of Sheikh Hamdan will give the region’s development a big boost as many achievements are expected to be realised at his hand.”
UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with His Majesty King Abdullah on Tuesday. The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and means to develop and bolster them in all fields and views on current Arab and international developments.
The meeting was attended by General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikkhs and senior officials. King Abdullah was received at Al-Ain International airport by President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed, Sheikhs and senior officials.
King Abdullah is on a two day visit to the UAE and Bahrain.
HH Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of Qatar arrived in the UAE on Sunday where he held talks with President HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The two leaders discussed relations between Qatar and the UAE and matters of mutual concern as well as the regional and international issues in line with continuous consultations between the leaderships of the two countries.
Sheikh Khalifa hosted a banquet in honour of Emir of Qatar and his delegation. After the talks and lunch the Emir returned to Qatar.
Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Sheikhs attended the talks.

According to the decree, the land plots will be distributed as following, 763 plots in Abu Dhabi’s suburbs, 217 plots in Al Ain suburbs and 46 plots in different areas of the Western Region.
This comes as Sheikh Khalifa’s keenness to provide high living standards to citizens and to guarantee their progress and prosperity in the UAE also urged different departments to speed up work on housing projects.

Sheikh Khalifa was welcomed by the Dubai ruler at Jebel Ali. They toured Dubai Marina and Jumeirah Beach Residences, residential, commercial and recreational developments which are underconstruction. After the tour, Sheikh Khalifa said ”All citizens should be proud of these successes,” he said, ”in addition to our authentic Arab heritage, culture and values, which we inherited from our forefathers.”
