Today, August 19th, Crown Princess Mette-Marit turns 40 years old. On occasion of her birthday, an open air church service in the Queen’s Park was celebrated yesterday, hosted by King Harald and Queen Sonja. Norwegian Royals At “Ridderrenn” Ski Race

On Saturday April 13, 2013, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and Princess Märtha Louise participated in the 50th Ridderrenn skiing competition for visual impaired and disabled in Beitostølen. Nobel Peace Prize 2011

This year’s Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Liberia’s peace activist Leymah Gbowee and Yemen’s human rights activist Tawakkul Karman “for their non-violent struggle for the safety of women and for women’s rights to full participation in peace-building work”, according to a release from the prize committee. Märtha Louise Parachuting

Yesterday the Norwegian Princess Märtha Louise went parachuting, which was part of a Sports Association’s campaign. The aim of the campaign is to recruit more disabled people to sport.
