Queen Beatrix and Prince Friso Open “New Love” Center

Brunei Sultan visits the Netherlands

On January 13, Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam was in the Netherlands for a quick visit. Dutch Crown Prince Couple Worked Harder this Year

The theater was built at the initiative of the Van den Ende foundation, the cultural fund of Joop and Janine van den Ende. Dutch Royal Family has Received German President

On November 18, Queen Beatrix,Prince Willem Alexander and Princess Maxima have received the new President of Germany, Christian Wulff. President Wulff was received at Noordeinde Palace. Afterwards, the Queen has offered a lunch. In the afternoon Wulff met Prime Minister Mark Rutte at the prime minister’s residence in The Hague.

Dutch Crown Prince Couple meets Dutch Prime Minister

On November 10, Prince Willem-Alexander and Princess Maxima had a meeting with the new Dutch Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, at Villa Eikenhorst. The new Prime Minister was invited by the royal couple for an introductory visit. Rutte was received previously by Queen Beatrix on October 14th at Huis ten Bosch, the day he officially became the Dutch Prime Minister. Queen Beatrix then received the new cabinet.

Dutch Royal Honor the ‘Soldier of Orange’

Various members of the Dutch royal family attended the premiere of the muscial ‘Soldaat van Oranje’ (soldier of Orange) at a special theatre on the former militairy airport of Valkenburg. The musical is based on the WWII memories of Erik Hazelhoff-Roelfzema (1917-2007), a Dutch RAF pilot and spy. The Dutch Royal Family have today celebrated Prinsjesdag, the traditional opening of parliament. At 13:00, the royal family departed from Noordeinde Palace in the Golden Coach and the Gala State Sedan, headed for the Parliamentary Halls in The Hague. Queen Beatrix Will Pay For Extra Maintenance Costs Sailing Boat

Remembrance and Liberation Days in the Netherlands
