The infant daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie has been named Athena Marguerite Françoise Marie. The names were just announced during her christening at the Møgeltønder Church in Møgeltønder. The Danish Royal Court has published the long-awaited photographs of Denmark’s newest royal – the infant daughter of Prince Joachim and Princess Marie. The series of photographs, taken at Schackenborg Palace by Steen Brogaard, feature the little princess with her parents and older brothers, Princes Nikolai, Felix and Henrik. The infant was born on January 24th, and will be christened on May 20th.

Princess Marie is in labour and has been admitted to the Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen, the Danish Royal Court has confirmed.
