Princess Marie Visits Roskilde Festival

Denmark’s Princess Marie paid a visit to the annual Roskilde Festival today, but not to listen to the music. The Princess was there to visit the stalls and activities being run by her patronage, DanChurchAid. She visited their refund stall, where cans and bottles are collected from festival goers and then recycled for money that is then donated to the organisation’s projects around the world. Queen Maxima Visits Fontys High School Child and Education

Queen Maxima visited the Fontys High School Child and Education in her capacity as Honorary President of the Platform Ambassadors Music Education. During the visit on Friday, Queen Maxima took time to watch a music lesson which then she spoke to the students. Queen Maxima also spoke to music teachers and directors. They spoke of way of how to improve music in youngsters.

Queen Sofia Receives Award from Spanish UNICEF Committee

Spain’s Queen Sofia today was presented with the Joaquin Ruiz-Giménez Award from the Spanish UNICEF Committee in a ceremony at the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC). The prize was awarded to the former Queen due to her five decades of commitment and work in defence of the most vulnerable, particularly children.
