July 8, 1963: As President of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Princess Marina, Duchess of Kent presents Australia’s Margaret Smith (later Court) with the Wimbledon Women’s Singles Championship trophy following her defeat of American Billie Jean Moffitt (later King) in the final.
