State Opening of Parliament 2012

Queen Elizabeth II today presided over the State Opening of Parliament which commenced a new session of the British Parliament. Her Majesty also delivered a speech which outlined her Government’s policies for the upcoming year. Festivities Begin Marking Queen Margrethe’s Jubilee

Earlier today, festivities held to mark HM Queen Margrethe II’s fortieth anniversary as the Danish monarch began in Copenhagen. The Queen, accompanied by TRH Prince Henrik, Crown Prince Frederik, Crown Princess Mary and Prince Joachim, was welcomed to a reception at Folketinget. The Danish Royal Family today attended the opening of the 2011 Session of the Danish Parliament, at Christiansborg Palace. Grand Duke Henri & Son at Government Reception

Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg and his eldest son Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume gave a reception yesterday at the Grand-Ducal Palace in Luxembourg after the opening ceremony of the new term (2009/2010) of the Chamber of Deputies, Luxembourg’s parliament.
