Mary’s Saturday of Fun
Saturday April 4th was a fun-filled day for Crown Princess Mary, as she undertook two engagements in different cities. Mary’s first engagement was the acceptance of a donation for the Christmas Seal Foundation (Julemærkefonden). As patron of the foundation, Mary accepted the 250,000DKK collected in 2008 to go towards the Christmas Seal Homes for children, the four in Denmark currently deal with obesity. Princess Marie and Prince Joachim had a guided tour of the Lego factory in Billund today by Lego Fonden’s manager, Morten Aagaard. Joachim and Marie also joined in the work going on there, helping to box some of the 5,000 sets that will go to children in hospital.
