This past Tuesday, September 15th, the Dutch Royal Family attended the annual opening of parliament, Prinsjesdag. The event took place at The Hague’s 13th century Ridderzal (Hall of Knights), where HM Queen Beatrix addressed the Dutch parliament from the throne. Willem-Alexander & Máxima to sue Associated Press

Yesterday morning princess Alexia of The Netherlands started her first day in kindergarten. She arrived in the company of her parents, and her older sister princess Amalia at the Bloemcamp school in Wassenaar, where she will start in group 1A. Hermitage Amsterdam Oficially Opened By Beatrix and Medvedev

Queen Beatrix today unveiled a bronze-plated statue of her late parents, Queen Juliana and Prince Bernhard. The statue lies in the grounds of Soestdijk Palace, which was the home of Juliana and Bernhard from 1937 to their deaths in May and December 2004, respectively.
