A government official in Thailand said on Wednesday that 85-year-old King Bhumibol Adulyadej is to leave hospital. Prince Naruhito Begins Visit to Thailand

Japan’s Crown Prince Naruhito has begun an official visit to Thailand today, arriving in Bangkok this morning. Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince inspected an honour guard. Australian novelist Harry Nicolaides has been recommended for a royal pardon after being convicted in January under Thailand’s notorious lèse majesté laws.
