Princess Mary Visits Holbæk for Heart Foundation

As patron of the Danish Heart Foundation, Crown Princess Mary today visited the Holbæk Hospital, east of Copenhagen in the municipality of Holbæk. Princess Mary was given a tour of the hospital’s cardiac department, where she spoke with doctors, nurses and some patients who are currently in Holbæk Hospital for cardiac surgery. Prince Friso Transferred to Wellington Clinic in London

Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau has been transferred to the Wellington Clinic in London, England. The RVD announced this today at 18.18 o’clock Duch time. The Wellington Clinic has been chosen based on advice from experts. Their advice was based on the condition of the Prince. Emperor Akihito’s Heart Surgery Successful

The Imperial Household Agency has reported that Emperor Akihito is recovering well from his heart bypass operation yesterday, Saturday February 18th. “As far as operations go, it probably could not have proceeded any better,” Doctor Minoru Ono said during a press conference following the operation’s completion at the University of Tokyo Hospital. Prince Friso in Coma following Avalanche Last Friday

UPDATE 24/02/12 at 07:15: A press conference with the head of trauma and intensive care at the hospital in Innsbruck has just taken place. The doctors gave some details on the Prince’s condition, and their prognosis: The Prince was under the snow for 25 minutes, and CPR was performed for 50 minutes to resuscitate him. A MRI was performed yesterday on the Prince, which indicated that the Prince had suffered severe brain damage from a lack of oxygen. Doctors cannot guarantee that the Prince will awaken from his coma, or give a timeframe as to when this could be expected. If he does wake up, his rehabilitation will take months or years.
Prince Friso of Orange-Nassau is currently in a critical but stable condition in an Innsbruck hospital following an avalanche in the ski resort of Lech am Arlberg on Friday February 17th. Continue reading

Haya named President of the Dubai Healthcare City Authority

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister has issued a decree establishing a public authority to oversee Dubai Healthcare City (DHC) who named Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein as president of the authority.
